Paul O'Brien

Paul O’Brien has enjoyed 50 years in the Financial Services profession.

He sits on a number of national & local community Boards, and has obtained life-time membership status for a number of organisations such as Manawatu Business Chamber, Marist Sports Club, Institute of Financial Advisers, Manawatū Club and Palmerston North Squash Rackets Club (Squash Club). 

He is the voluntary Executive Director of NZ’s largest sports club, Marist Sports.

Paul recently became a recipient of a Civic Honour Award in 2025 for outstanding voluntary services to the city of Palmerston North.

Paul is an ambassador for Te Awa Community Foundation and supports this local giving model as ‘The best model of a Philanthropic Trust for local communities'.
